Problem

Power users and developers need real-time visibility into system resource usage to optimize grid size, codec choices, and playback settings.

Solution

An overlay displays real-time FPS, memory usage, and GPU utilization. The indicator is unobtrusive and can be toggled on or off.

Tier Availability

  • Free: Not available.
  • Plus / Pro: Full FPS/memory/GPU overlay.

UI Flow

  1. Enable the Performance Indicator from the View menu or Preferences.
  2. An overlay appears showing live FPS, memory, and GPU stats.
  3. Toggle off to hide the overlay.

Known Limitations

  • The overlay consumes a small amount of additional resources to gather metrics.
  • GPU utilization reporting accuracy varies by hardware.
