Photo Tiles
Problem
Static images in a grid feel flat compared to video. Photo presentations benefit from subtle motion to draw the eye.
Solution
Photo Tiles applies a Ken Burns effect (slow pan and zoom) to image cells with optional reveal animations on content change. The effect adds gentle motion to still images, making photo-heavy grids feel more dynamic.
UI Flow
- Enable via View > Photo Tiles or the toolbar toggle.
- All image cells begin a slow Ken Burns pan-and-zoom.
- When cells advance, a reveal animation transitions to the next image.
- Toggle off to display images statically.
Tier Availability
Cross-tier: unlocked by any purchase (Plus or Pro).
Known Limitations
- Ken Burns direction is randomized per cell; manual direction control is not available.
- Reveal animations add a brief transition delay (~0.5s) between images.
