Cue Sheet Scripting

Problem

Complex shows with dozens of cues are tedious to configure through UI alone. Technical directors want a plaintext format they can prepare in advance and version control.

Solution

Cue Sheet Scripting is a plaintext show orchestration language. Each line defines a cue with a trigger (time, manual, or MIDI), action (scene recall, shuffle, message, pause), and optional duration. Scripts can be loaded, validated, and executed from a dedicated panel.

UI Flow

  1. Open Performance > Cue Sheet.
  2. Write or import a .cuesheet plaintext file.
  3. FlexGrid validates the script and highlights any errors.
  4. Click Run to begin execution; cues fire in sequence.
  5. Manual cues pause execution until the operator presses Next.

Tier Availability

Pro only.

Known Limitations

  • No conditional logic or branching; cues execute linearly.
  • Maximum of 200 cues per script.
